Should I try and sell it? Is it worth anything at all with the issue it has. So if a replacement speaker with give mediocre performance it does not sound like its worth holding on to this sub. I expect my receiver to show up tomorrow after noon, I have waited so long to finally put a system together and now it will only limp along until I do something with or about a sub. Is this a waste of time and should I bite the bullet and just buy one from SVS, I know they make great speakers and have read tons about their subs.but $650-$750 is a lot of money and the holidays are right around the corner. Is there a way a novice like me could align the speaker if thats the problem. Am I just better to buy a replacement sub.? Thank you in advance. This is a 10' speaker with a square metal bracket. I am so close to a great sounding Home Theater but am lacking on this major component.
I have searched the internet and can not find a replacement speaker for this sub.Ĭan anyone offer advice? I know I could replace the whole sub, but thats another $400-$500 that I am not sure I can spend. So now my choices (I believe) are to replace the woofer or replace the sub all together. This seemed like it should have fixed it but when there is something heavy bass it sounds like it is still ripped. I was given a Boston Acoustics VR500 sub, the foam gasket was torn so I replaced it with a kit from simply speakers. I am still waiting on my Onkyo 606 but I have a problem. I have my SVS SBS-02 and center and they sound great.
